Rafael Leao was one of the few bright spots for Milan in their draw against Udinese, with both Olivier Giroud and Franck Kessie disappointing.

The 22-year-old Portuguese forward scored his 8th league goal of the season in yesterday’s match, putting his team ahead after only 29 minutes. The Italian press praised his work, noting that he’s “living in a golden moment”, being one of the few players to shine for the Rossoneri yesterday.

Giroud was less impressive in the draw, with the Italian media feeling it was “disappointing to say the least”. La Gazzetta dello Sport’s review of the Frenchman’s performance encapsulates the sentiment shared amongst the sports newspapers, with the Milanese paper highlighting that they “can’t be satisfied” with such a game.

Kessie was another player who failed to make the difference against Udinese yesterday, with the prevailing feeling being that “his dissociation from Milan seems evident”. The Ivorian midfielder “is no longer the player of a year ago”, being happy to let the game pass him by.

5 thought on “Leao ‘living a golden moment’ whilst Giroud ‘disappoints’ and Kessie is ‘disassociated’”
  1. At least rate Kessie should never start unless there’s no other option. He’s literally walking carefree all over the pitch. An injury will ruin his future and he’s saving his legs. Unacceptable. Do NOT play him.

Giroud I can’t blame much. He or any other striker need the atttacking midfielder to play close to them and make chances for them. It ain’t happening with Diaz. We lost this Scudetto when we failed to sign an attacking midfielder first in the summer and then in January. It was an unforgivable and criminal decision.

  2. I have to agree 100% with ‘Milan Fan’. Why is all this so obvious to us couch potato fans and not the pros who make the decisions for Milan?
ps. change the rules so that goals can be reviewed after the game by experienced referees.

  3. Milan doesn’t have money to buy quality players.

The problem isn’t experience of the officials. VAR didn’t give a clear penalty against Juventus today, and didn’t flag the clear handball in Udinese‘s goal against Milan yesterday. Clear double standards every match day

  4. @andy

Granted I am biased but this season the ref decision against at Milan has been nothing but absurd. We have literally lost games because of the refs (plural) games not game.

No need to bring up stupid parallel because RARELY has any decision gone our way. From clear pent, to red cards, to handsballs

It’s just way too many mistakes this season and frankly winning when they more or less all go agai at you is tough.

  5. Eshte turp qe disa lojtare jane tek Milani.
