Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga will undergo his medical with Atalanta today ahead of a €22m deal.
The 24-year-old was expected to leave the Mapei Stadium in the summer, but Sassuolo didn’t receive a suitable offer for the former Chelsea man.
The Neroverdi have now reached an agreement with Atalanta over a €22m deal plus add-ons and according to multiple reports in Italy, Boga will undergo his medical with Gian Piero Gasperini’s side today.
Boga will sign a five-year deal with La Dea. He has played 12 games in Serie A this season, delivering three assists.
His arrival in Bergamo could see AlekseyMiranchuk or Luis Muriel leave.
The Russia international is a target for Andriy Shevchenko’s Genoa, while, according to Tuttosport, Milan are one of the clubs interested in signing Muriel.
Boga joined Sassuolo for circa €4m in the summer of 2018. the Ivorian winger has scored 18 goals in 102 appearances with Sassuolo.
He has been called up for the African Cup of Nations, which he will play before making his Atalanta debut in 2022.
