Pumas and Mexico international defender Johan Vasquez is having his medical with Genoa today ahead of a €3.5m transfer.
The centre-back turns 23 in October and flew in last night, ready for his tests this morning.
It’s reported to be a loan deal with obligation to buy for a total €3.5m fee.
Vasquez is fresh from winning an Olympic bronze medal with Mexico in Tokyo, scoring the decisive goal in the third-place final against hosts Japan.
Former Genoa and Inter striker Diego Milito is believed to have recommended the player to the Serie A side.
