Roberto Mancini assures Gianluigi Donnarumma would ‘make a good choice’ if he were to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The goalkeeper is leaving Milan as a free agent after failing to agree a new contract with the club, having come up through their youth academy and been given his Serie A debut at the age of 16.
According to multiple reports, Donnarumma is set to sign a five-year contract with PSG and undergo his medical while on international duty for Euro 2020.
“I don’t know what will happen, as I haven’t talked to hm about it,” said Italy boss Mancini in his press conference today.
“Donnarumma is a great goalkeeper. If he were to go to PSG, it would be a good choice, as this is a big club.”
The shot-stopper is only 22 years old, but already has 27 senior Italy caps under his belt and 215 Serie A appearances.
