Last season, Maurizio Sarri guided the Old Lady to their ninth straight League title in Italy and Agnelli said it was proof of a ‘unique DNA’ at the Allianz Stadium.
“Rewrite history and overcome yourself for nine years, it has become a pleasant habit for those who have the Juventus in their hearts,” Agnelli said, according to Calciomercato.com
“While changing interpreters, starting with the technical guidance of Maurizio Sarri, Juventus have shown they have a unique DNA, in which the fighting spirit is second only to the desire to win.”
But the patron admitted it was a difficult season and vows to keep ‘demonstrating’ that Andrea Pirlo’s Bianconeri are ‘the strongest’ team in Italy.
“It’s a particular year, marked by a terrible pandemic that shocked the world,” he added. “Hitting us all in a way as hard as it was unexpected.
“Because of this plague, last season lasted until the summer and forced our champions to make an extra effort.
“New challenges await us, and we are sure to arrive ready and confident, thanks to the passion and determination of our daily work.
“To demonstrate once again what it means to be Juventus and be the strongest."
