Lazio President Claudio Lotito has tested negative for coronavirus, having carried out the necessary examinations after the Lega Serie A Assembly.

Napoli patron Aurelio De Laurentiis tested positive for COVID-19 after having attended the 20-club meeting in Milan, causing concern among the other Serie A clubs.

News agency ANSA reports Lotito has undergone the swab test and received negative results.

De Laurentiis announced the positivity on Thursday and was accused of having put the others unnecessarily at risk.

The Azzurri chief said he had ‘no symptoms’ ahead of his journey to Milan, as La Repubblica claimed he did for several days.

The news caused concern as Corriere della Sera revealed De Laurentiis had not worn his mask properly and was allegedly the first person to speak into the microphone before it was passed on to the other Presidents at the meeting.
