Lazio have announced they will allow their fans to have a presence at the Stadio Olimpico when Serie A games resume – by putting their photographs on seats.

The league has been locked down since March 10, but the medical protocol for group training was finally agreed this week.

It’s believed this should allow fixtures to start up again from June 13-20, but naturally they’ll be behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“The club has thought about giving Lazio fans the opportunity to be there when the matches return,” said Lazio director of communications Stefano De Martino.

“I can reveal we are working on it and next week the scheme will be fully operational. We’ll allow those who want to be present in the stadium to send in their photographs, which we’ll place on their seats.

“We’ll explain later how fans can take part, as we are building a website dedicated to this initiative.”
