A statement was released this evening confirming that after the Wednesday morning training session, the squad will settle into a training retreat in Coccaglio so they can “concentrate and prepare” for Sunday’s match with Hellas Verona.
The Sardinians are sliding down the table after a run of 11 competitive matches without a victory.
Their last wins were funnily enough both against Sampdoria, 4-3 in Serie A on December 12 and 2-1 in the Coppa Italia on December 12.
Those were followed by four draws and seven defeats in all competition.
The defence is proving to be a major problem, as Rolando Maran’s men haven’t kept a clean sheet since the 2-0 away to Atalanta on November 3.
