“This Inter are a strong team, a healthy and close-knit group,” he told Lega Serie A’s YouTube channel.
“The only thing that we’ve lacked is consistency in our results, but we want to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
“My relationship with the Coach has always been good. He’s strong tactically and very meticulous.
“if he loves you, he shows it to you. He did a lot to bring me here and I hope I can finally start giving him so much back.
“I was criticised so much because everyone expected so much from me, but I’ve had so many injuries, which I’ve never had in my career.
“It was a great satisfaction to get back among the goals and I hope I can keep going like this.”
The Belgian has three more years left on his contract with the Beneamata, tying him to the club until he turns 34…
“I was welcomed in Milan with great affection, but my relationship [with Inter] is still too short for me to say how it’ll end,” he concluded.
