Lazio Coach Simone Inzaghi would be supportive of teams walking off due to racism – “these are things that shouldn’t happen”.

Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly was racially abused against Inter, and after referee Paolo Mazzoleni didn’t stop the match, Coach Carlo Ancelotti declared his side would walk off next time.

“I think he’s right, Ancelotti is an experienced Coach,” Inzaghi said in today’s Press conference ahead of the Torino match.

“It could be a path in the future.

“It could be a path in the future.

“These are things which should happen, football is a sport. We need to work on a deeper level, at the root of the problem.

“All these things make it uncomfortable for families and children to come to the stadium. Like this we’ll push people away, and we’ll see stadiums with fewer and fewer people.”

Inzaghi was also asked to give an assessment of the Biancocelesti’s season so far.

“I'm lucky to have a serious group, one which works well, which gives everything during the week and in training sessions.

“We’ve been around here in the table for two-and-a-half years, and in Italy that isn’t easy. This season we have reached the first objective in the Europa League, we are fourth, we must look only at ourselves.

“We can’t look ahead or behind in the table, we just have to think about improving.

“Compared to last year everyone – except Juventus – has fewer points and that includes us. We’re fourth though, and my focus is on tomorrow’s match with Torino.

“I think we should have a few more points, but the table is what it is. We’ve slowed down, like everyone else bar the top two, but we’re in a competitive league.”
