“My father had a brilliant idea, because he saw exactly what he’d identified 14 years ago when he took over Napoli,” De Laurentiis Jr told the Corriere dello Sport.

“There’s been great enthusiasm from the city, and we can understand that because they’ve gone through difficult times, I’d say absurd, often associated with the depth or lack thereof in a club project.
“Bari is Bari, but I don’t want to be presumptuous. I knew very well that in football results count like box office receipts do in cinema and I won’t fall into the trap of making promises.
“Napoli-Bari in Serie A? I’d be a little insincere if I said I hadn’t thought about it. We hope to get there in 2022 or 2023.
“Bari has to be a great film, with a symbol. My Bari will be like Rocky Balboa.”
