Marco Giampaolo believes there was a foul in the build-up to the opening Juventus goal, but concedes Sampdoria ran out of steam.

The Blucerchiati were hammered 3-0 in Turin, as Douglas Costa came off the bench for injured Miralem Pjanic and changed the game with three assists.

“It’s a pity, because up until the opening goal we had played well. Perhaps there was a foul on the first goal, even if Juve would probably have won anyway,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We had to keep the game in the balance for longer and we did have a couple of chances to score, but unfortunately Juve don’t allow you many.

“We have to win on Wednesday against Bologna, we know that is where we can get a result. There are six rounds to go, many head-to-head clashes for Europe and we must win our games to keep our chances alive.”
