The Azzurri are still without a Coach after Giampiero Ventura’s sacking, and the Sampdoria boss has been touted as possible dark horse candidate.
“There’s an embarrassment of choice and I’m on the last carriage of the train,” Giampaolo said on Radio Anch'io Sport.
“There are many Coaches more qualified and suited to it than me.
