Damiano Tommasi has officially announced that he’s standing for the Presidency of the FIGC.

The head of the players’ union has been touted by many as the ideal man to replace Carlo Tavecchio, and he has now confirmed he’ll stand.

“The will to be part of active change comes from the path I’ve taken in recent years,” Tommasi announced in a statement.

“That pushes me to make myself available for a project which is about sharing as much as possible. Today footballers want to be those who unite.
