Lazio midfielder Ravel Morrison has officially joined Queens Park Rangers, on loan with option to buy.

The Englishman has spent the last two seasons with the Biancocelesti, but has struggled to adapt to life in Italy and has been back in his homeland for the past few months.

Having been training with Wigan, it emerged that a return to Loftus Road was his most likely move, and tonight that has been confirmed.

“QPR have completed the loan signing of Ravel Morrison from Lazio until the end of the season,” a statement confirmed.

“The 23-year-old attacker will stay at Loftus Road for the remainder of the 2016/17 campaign, with Rangers having the option to exercise a permanent agreement at the end of the season.

“Morrison, of course, enjoyed a successful loan spell in W12 during the second half of the 2013/14 season, scoring six goals in 15 appearances for the R’s in the Championship, as the Hoops achieved promotion via the play-offs.

“Now, he’s ready to reignite his career with QPR and make the most of a ‘great opportunity’ at Loftus Road.”

Morrison also spoke to the website.

“I am really pleased to be back here. It’s a great opportunity for me to come back and hopefully find the form I showed the first time around.

“I am ready to work hard and focus fully on playing for Rangers.”
