Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis lays out his plans for a “science fiction” San Paolo with 20,000 seats.

The Partenopei patron has previously declared he wants the stadium to be “like a theatre” and discussed the issue at the Football Leaders conference in London.

After complaining that the city council “haven’t invested a penny” in San Paolo, De Laurentiis explained that he wants a "science fiction" 20,000-seater arena, with 5,000 tickets for the “underprivileged” in the city.

The cinema magnate also proposed an annual tournament between all European teams, rather than UEFA deciding which sides will compete.

West Ham United’s Karren Brady, who was sharing the stage, declared that the Premier League has the best reach in the world and the best players, with De Laurentiis disagreeing with the latter assertion.

Controversially, the Napoli President also described agents as “the cancer of our domain”, as well as reiterating that he had rejected Chelsea's bid for Kalidou Koulibaly.
