Ignazio Marino, mayor of Rome, says his administration is “very keen” to approve Roma’s stadium plan.

The Giallorossi are waiting for final approval from the municipality, as they seek to begin construction by the end of this year.

“The assessment of Roma’s stadium project is now the subject of discussion by the regional council,” Marino explained, speaking to ReteSport.

The Giallorossi are waiting for final approval from the municipality, as they seek to begin construction by the end of this year.

“The assessment of Roma’s stadium project is now the subject of discussion by the regional council,” Marino explained, speaking to ReteSport.

“It’s here that checks will be made, and any corrections will be requested. It’s an important project which this administration is very keen on.

“Therefore, we’re confidently expecting to complete these final checks. The stadium and the project which accompanies it was the subject of a resolution passed by the city council.

“It’s an important decision regarding a project capable of bringing in big international investment, as well as being useful to the city due to the public works necessary in its development and in the surrounding area.”
