Mino Raiola insists Mario Balotelli’s form for Milan is “not a surprise” and discusses Sir Alex Ferguson.

The agent represents Balotelli, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic – among others – and discussed the Italian striker following his goal against Udinese last night.

“It wasn’t a surprise for me,” Raiola told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Mario’s quality has never been in question. The important thing is his attitude.

“Mario’s quality has never been in question. The important thing is his attitude.

“The free-kick? He has scored more beautiful goals in the past, and he’ll score more beautiful ones in the future.”

Raiola also deepened his war-of-words with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson over his client Paul Pogba.

“He’s paid me a great compliment. I am not a Sir, but he isn’t conducting himself much like a Sir. I’ll behave like a Sir toward him.

“One day his former player [Pogba] will reveal the truth. The story as he told it is not true. What Ferguson said about me was a compliment, I don’t have to please him.

“I understand how he chose his players, not based on quality, but on agents who he liked. I’m an agent who looks after the interests of his players.

“I’ll take the blame, no problem, but he hadn’t understood who Pogba was, how the world now works with players.

“Maybe he retired at the right time.”
