Lucas Digne discusses his fellow Roma Frenchman, Coach Rudi Garcia, and looks forward to settling into the city.

The Lupi signed the player on a loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain only a few days before the closing of the transfer window, and the 22-year-old left-back had little time to get used to the new setting.

Even so, he sounded relaxed as he told Il Corriere dello Sport that Garcia had not changed from the times they worked together at Lille.

“He has the same approach with the players, he talks a lot with them and he doesn't beat around the bush.

“It's important for the players to know that there's a Coach who is so careful with the team.

“He still gives you great motivation just before an important match, the way he already did at Lille.

“In fact it's probably even more so now, because he works in a larger club and he deals with more important footballers.

“In any case he lets his results and his career do the talking for him. That, and the fact that he raised Roma from sixth to two consecutive second places.”

Digne was then asked whether he liked the Eternal City itself.

“I've barely had the time to visit it. I've spent a lot of time training and looking for a house.

“The moment I find one, I'll be looking forward to going out and exploring.

“I'm going to start from the Colosseum and the Fori Imperiali, I want to get to know this city.

“[Iconic Roma Frenchman Vincent] Candela? He was a great player and I have a lot of respect for him.

“I read that he made some positive comments about my arrival and I'd like to thank him, I'm pleased he was so kind towards me.

“I hope I can win with Roma the way he did. I can promise that I'll do my utmost to reach that objective.”
