“I’m very happy,” Vidal told Bayern’s official website.

“This is a new step in my career, and I hope I can do well here. I want to help the team and win trophies. It’s a dream come true for me.

“I wanted to make a big step in my career. I want to develop as a player, and win important trophies like the Champions League. I think I have the best chance of doing that at Bayern.

“Last season [with Juventus] we were not far from winning all three trophies [Coppa Italia, Serie A and Champions League], now that has to be the goal with Bayern.

“I’m very excited to play in the Bundesliga again [having previously represented Bayer Leverkusen], and I’m definitely hoping to win it.

“I didn’t manage that with Leverkusen, but with Bayern the chances are very, very good.”
