“The co-ownership must be resolved this summer,” Simone Seghedoni told TuttoJuve.

“Things will be well-defined in a month, relations between the two clubs are excellent, and I don’t think it will go to the envelopes [a blind auction, with the player going to the highest bidder].

“Sassuolo want to keep Domenico, while Juve really believe in him and therefore might want to bring him to Turin.

“The thing to evaluate is to make sure Domenico isn’t harmed, it’s important that he continues his current path of growth.

“A club as big as Juve would be a wonderful thing, but we have to analyse the real possibilities. He has to play, and that can’t be ignored.

“If we look at things from a football perspective, Domenico is not ready, but more than ready.

“However, look at the players who have played for Juventus over the past 20 years, [Alessandro] Del Piero aside, they don’t even remember [Sebastian] Giovinco, he had the usual problems breaking into the side.

“The player is ready, but we have to see if he’ll be allowed to prove his worth.

“There have been cases of good players, even in the recent past, whom big teams have not been able to find space for, and sometimes the club might have had some responsibility.

“Sometimes young lads are seen as having the same value as a foreigner, but often they aren’t viewed that way.

“Foreign players, even for example [imminent Juventus signing Paulo] Dybala didn’t give the impression of being such a talent in his first year or in Serie B.

“Now he’s sought-after, and he’s a great talent, [but] Italians are not sought after, and are often damaged by being sent on loan when training with quality players would be an important opportunity to grow.

“However, they must be given the opportunity to show what they can do, if you don’t play it’s hard to prove yourself, in my opinion.”
