Sampdoria Coach Sinisa Miahjlovic says Juventus ‘deserve the Scudetto’, but wants to make them wait to celebrate it.

The Bianconeri will secure their fourth consecutive title if they avoid defeat at Luigi Ferraris tomorrow, but Mihajlovic wants his side to spoil the party.

“It’s true that recently we’ve had some problems converting chances,” the Serbian admitted in his pre-match Press conference.

“But I’m sure we can count on our fans against Juventus, I’m asking them to be on the pitch with us.

“I’m convinced that we’re all together with a determination, character and also that little bit of luck that’s been missing lately we can postpone Juventus’ celebrations.

“They deserve the Scudetto, and will rightly celebrate it, but in Turin, not in our ground.

"They need a point, but we need all three.

“I’d say the surprise of the season has been Samp, not Juve. They deserve the title, but we’re having a great season. We’re fifth with five games to go.

“We remain convinced that we can compete until the end, the last few results show that all teams have their ups-and-downs, even at the end, so we have to stay focused on our goal.

“I always back us.”

It has been suggested that a recent downturn in form for the Blucerchiati can be attributed to speculation over the Coach’s future, but Mihajlovic refutes that assertion.

“I’ve never said if leaving, because I don’t know myself. I know football though, and I know that the newspapers are full of speculation.

“I’m sure that doesn’t explain the performances of my team. We didn't do well against Napoli, I’m the first to admit that, but at home [against Cesena and Verona] we made 30 chances in 180 minutes.”
