Inter defender Juan Jesus says he wants to stay with the Nerazzurri for ‘the next five years’ and previews the Roma game.

The Brazilian is in his fourth season with the club, having joined from Internacional in his homeland, and the 23-year-old is not thinking about leaving.

“The first year was a novelty for everyone,” Jesus said in a Press conference.

“I played well and I proved myself. Then year after year it gets more difficult to prove your worth, so I have to continue to do my utmost to create trust.

“I never read about my name on the transfer market, and I wouldn’t change Inter for anyone. I am and will be an Inter player for the next five years.”

The Beneamata face Roma at the weekend, with only a win likely to be enough to keep their slim European hopes alive.

“We’ll fight for it as long as there’s a mathematical hope. It’s a shame [that we drew with Milan] because Fiorentina lost [to Verona], so it was an opportunity to get closer.

“There are still seven games to go and we want to get as many points as possible.

“We want to take advantage of this because they [Roma] are not what they were at the start of the season. I thought they could aim for the Scudetto.”
