There are reports Liverpool are sending scouts to view Inter midfielder Mateo Kovacic, hoping he can repeat Philippe Coutinho’s path.
Both TMW and The Mirror claim there will be representatives from the Anfield side attending Saturday’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Norway in Zagreb.
Only after that report would Liverpool begin actual negotiations with Inter over the 20-year-old talent.
The Premier League side has a very good history of taking young players who struggled to make their mark at San Siro.

Like Kovacic, Coutinho was released by Inter because he was inconsistent, lacked confidence and had difficulty finding the right position within the team.
The Nerazzurri are wary of repeating the same mistake, especially having paid €11m to sign then-teenager Kovacic from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2013.
That same month, Inter sold Coutinho to Liverpool for €10m.
