“In order to have any hope of bringing home points from this game, we must ensure Juventus have no time or space on the ball. That is our only hope,” said Di Carlo in a Press conference.

“It requires a tight game, because the Bianconeri are a complete squad. They have great technique and that is matched by their physical strength.

“We want to put in a good performance and we are prepared to battle. We must give ourselves the freedom to believe.”

Cesena had won two on the bounce against Parma and Lazio, but fell back to earth 2-0 at Empoli last week.

The Sea Horses are boosted by the arrival of ex-Bologna and Inter midfielder Mudingayi, who arrived as a free agent.

His international transfer has gone through, so he is available to start tomorrow evening.

“Mudingayi is very experienced and can give us a big hand in midfield. Aside from this result, we know there is a long road ahead towards safety. A slip-up against Juve wouldn’t ruin our chances of survival.”
