The Beneamata are still down in ninth place in the table, seven points from a Champions League place, but Mancio insists the club must aim high.

“We have to rediscover our natural level,” the Coach said in an interview with Tiki Taka.

“We need to fight for the title, but first we have to battle to make it into the Champions League. It’s good that we’ve overtaken Milan, but we want to get to third in the League and that will take a little more time.

Juventus? [Massimiliano] Allegri is doing very well and they’re a great team. They’re the favourites for the title, but Roma will have their chances.”

Mancio also discussed the future of striker Dani Osvaldo, who looks set to leave San Siro, possibly to join Juventus.

“I understand every situation, and I know these things can happen.

“I won’t speak about what happened with Osvaldo, I just hope to find the right place for him. I’ve got absolutely nothing against him.”
