Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi confirms “the next two games will be very important” for Roberto Donadoni.

The Ducali matched the all-time Serie A club record of five consecutive defeats with yesterday’s 3-1 loss to Sassuolo.

“For the first time part of the ultras protested, so I thought it was only right to meet with those fans I respect,” Ghirardi told La Gazzetta di Parma after a tense afternoon at the Stadio Tardini.

“Unfortunately these are not times when we can make promises or invest millions. Clearly in January we’ll try to fix the squad, perhaps with exchanges or not too expensive moves.

“Now safety is our only objective. It’s true, I was too optimistic, but I told the players they need to ‘run and give a good kicking.’

“Is Donadoni in the balance? The next two games will be very important.”

There are reports that Donadoni will be replaced by either current Parma Primavera youth team Coach Hernan Crespo or ex-Lazio boss Davide Ballardini.
