According to Calciomercato.it, Juventus offered to take Gerson on loan with option to buy for €9m, but the proposal was rejected.
Juve had also been prepared to leave him at Fluminense for one more year to help him mature.
Gerson is owned by both Fluminense and a third party football agency.
