Italian international Marco Verratti is hoping that Carlo Ancelotti will stay at Paris Saint-Germain rather than join Real Madrid.

The former Milan tactician is wanted in Spain as a replacement for Jose Mourinho, but PSG have so far refused to let him go.

“As Ancelotti is currently the Coach of PSG, there is obviously the chance that he may remain,” the playmaker told Sky Sport Italia.

“But if he does leave then it will be a heavy loss, both for myself and for my teammates here at this club.

“There are no other Coaches like Ancelotti around,” the youngster continued.

“I’ve had very few Coaches, but, according to some of my colleagues who have had more, they say they’ve never had a tactician like him.

“He is someone who gives you peace of mind and he knows how to manage great players.

“As well as being a great Coach, he’s also a great guy.”

The 20-year-old moved to the French capital a year ago after Pescara accepted €12m for his services.

Verratti has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
