Catania President says “it’s more likely to see a flying donkey” than Pablo Barrientos joining Genoa this summer.

There were reports that former Elefantini director Pietro Lo Monaco, now at Genoa, was keen to raid his old club with a particular eye for attacking midfielder Barrientos.

“Barrientos to Genoa? It’s more likely to see a flying donkey than to see him wearing the Genoa jersey!” laughed President Antonino Pulvirenti on Itasportpress this evening.

“We are completing the squad based on our needs. We will certainly make some more moves over the summer, both incoming and outgoing.

“In a short space of time we will have the side in place and will be ready for the start of the season.”

Pulvirenti was speaking after Catania officially signed midfielder Lucas Castro from Racing Avellaneda.
