However, La Nazione understand that Quagliarella’s support of this transfer could be enough to push it through, with the Florence-based publication describing the footballer as ‘enthusiastic and eager to prove himself’.

At the same time, the Gazzetta dello Sport, in suggesting that Milan are talking to Roma and Juve about Marco Borriello and Alessandro Matri respectively, also push the Rossoneri towards Quagliarella, who they describe as having already turned down Fiorentina’s advances, reluctant for the move.
