Chievo boss Domenico Di Carlo has underlined that his side will have to stop Zlatan Ibrahimovic if they want anything from the Milan game.

The two teams meet in Serie A on Tuesday and the tactician is desperate to keep the Swedish striker quiet.

“Ibrahimovic always scores against us,” the tactician stated when asked about the Serie A top scorer. “We’ll either need to man-mark him or we’ll have to cover space as best we can.”

In reality, Ibra’s five goals in nine appearances against Chievo have only come in three games thanks to two braces.

“Milan will arrive here in a foul mood after defeat to Fiorentina,” Di Carlo added. “I expect an important showing from my players.

“We will go into the game following two successive victories and just a point away from ensuring our Serie A status.

“We’ll need an extraordinary performance to get a positive result.”

Chievo are ninth in the standings thanks to 42 points so far this season.

“Milan have always had problems with injuries at a certain point of  the season,” the former Sampdoria tactician continued. “Their quality, however, has always come out.

“The Scudetto fight will continue until the end, the difference is that now Milan will have to take advantage of Juventus’ errors.”

Juve are one point clear of the Diavolo.
