Pablo Barrientos has warned Milan to expect the same Catania that has played well through recent weeks.

The Elefanti have moved up to seventh in the table after a recent run of form and welcome table-topping Milan in confident mood, as attacking midfielder Barrientos revealed today.

“The mood is very good with [Vincenzo] Montella,” the 27-year-old declared to the Corriere dello Sport.

“And his skill lies in creating a game that suits our technical qualities.

“We have transmitted a strong mentality and now we have a great identity – we always want to be proactive and we mustn’t change our attitude just because we are facing Milan.”

President Antonino Pulvirenti is urging the players to think of pushing for a Europa League place.

“For now we must keep this low profile and do our best- we must not think of Europe, there’s no rush.

“We will proceed step by step, game by game. I believe that Milan are not an opponent important enough to make us think in any other way.”
