Milan will reportedly hold transfer talks with Catania on Monday in an effort to do a deal for Maxi Lopez.

The Rossoneri have revived their interest in the Argentine after Alexandre Pato joined Antonio Cassano on the sidelines.

While Cassano may be out for the rest of the season, Pato, who rejected a move to Paris Saint-Germain this month, is expected to be unavailable for the next four weeks.

With a shortage of strikers and the Champions League close to resumption, Milan are again being paired with Lopez.

The striker, who is also liked by Fulham, was targeted by the Diavolo earlier this month before they decided to focus on Carlos Tevez.

Given Milan’s problems in signing the Manchester City ace, the former Barcelona player is now at the top of the club’s wish-list.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is expected to meet Catania transfer guru Pietro Lo Monaco later today to discuss a loan switch.
