It has been a chaotic few months for the Coach, who helped Chievo to safety, then was sacked by Palermo 10 days before the campaign kicked off.

He was drafted in this week to replace Pier Paolo Bisoli following the Rossoblu run of one point from five games.

“I have a very positive feeling about this, as I saw the squad work hard and be open to new ideas,” Pioli told the official Bologna website.

“For now we are testing out simple things, but we need the team to quickly assimilate certain concepts.

“In order to do that, we need to have everyone on board, so await the internationals and those who have been injured.

“Our objective is to field the best possible line-up to get a result.”
