Maurizio Zamparini again criticised Coach Delio Rossi after Palermo's late defeat. “Absentees are not an alibi.”

The Rosanero fell to their second consecutive loss, 1-0 at Bologna following Santiago Garcia's red card.

“The performance seen in Bologna reflects our current form,” moaned the President on Mediagol.

“It was a fully deserved defeat. Aside from the referee giving six yellow cards to Palermo and none to Bologna, this is a poor period of form and there's not much we can do about it.

“It was a fully deserved defeat. Aside from the referee giving six yellow cards to Palermo and none to Bologna, this is a poor period of form and there's not much we can do about it.

“Yet again we conceded a goal at the 90th minute because of something stupid. We cannot keep letting in goals due to poor concentration, it's just not acceptable.”

Coach Rossi complained that the Rosanero did all they could with bans, injuries and the red card, but Zamparini is unconvinced.

“Don't be daft. Absentees are not an alibi, because there is no lack of alternatives up to the task.

“Daniele Paponi came off the bench to score the late goal for Bologna, so he is an alternative. And who let him jump undisturbed in the box? I'll tell you, it was Antonio Nocerino, who is no youngster just out of the academy.”
