Palermo are raising their wage proposal to Mario Balotelli, but giving the Liverpool striker only 24 hours to make a decision.
The main issue is his salary of €5.8m per year net, which Palermo have absolutely no intention of paying.
President Maurizio Zamparini had at first proposed €700,000, with the rest to be covered by Liverpool.

The main issue is his salary of €5.8m per year net, which Palermo have absolutely no intention of paying.
President Maurizio Zamparini had at first proposed €700,000, with the rest to be covered by Liverpool.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the club is prepared to raise that to €1m.
However, this same report notes the offer only stands for 24 hours, as Balotelli has been set a deadline by Palermo.
If he doesn’t accept the move by then, the Rosanero will drop him and go for Sassuolo centre-forward Diego Falcinelli instead.
Newly-promoted Crotone are also interested in Falcinelli, so time is of the essence.
