Inter forward Xherdan Shaqiri has reportedly accepted a move to Schalke 04 after turning down Stoke City.
The Swiss international only arrived from Bayern Munich in January on loan with mandatory option to buy for €16m, but is not part of Roberto Mancini’s plans.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the 23-year-old has definitively rejected a transfer to Stoke, but is prepared for a return to the Bundesliga with Schalke 04.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the 23-year-old has definitively rejected a transfer to Stoke, but is prepared for a return to the Bundesliga with Schalke 04.
“We are still waiting,” Stoke assistant manager Mark Bowen told The Stoke Sentinel.
“There is a limit to how long we can wait, but we are hopeful and still waiting, it's as simple as that.
“You can push, push, push, but there is a balance between doing that and giving him the time to make the right decision for himself. They have to want to sign.”
Shaqiri had also been linked with Wolfsburg as part of Inter’s bid to sign Ivan Perisic.
