Fiorentina President Andrea Della Valle warned the club “cannot wait any longer” for Vincenzo Montella.
The Coach has a contract until 2016, but said he’s considering his options after a summit with the directors on future strategy.
“The club is waiting to be made aware of the clear position of its Coach Montella, respecting the agreements made previously and the fairness of our approach so far,” read a statement from Della Valle on the Fiorentina website.

The sudden rush may well be because Maurizio Sarri resigned from his position at Empoli, becoming the favourite to take over if Montella does walk away.
