Of course, that depends on whether the club's players are willing to fulfil their remaining fixtures, something which is far from guaranteed.
The receivers will look to secure new ownership for Parma, with an American investment group among those said to be interested.
Under FIGC rules, the new owners would be able to take over the sporting entity represented by Parma, as long as they agree to pay the club’s sporting debts, which the court has found amounts to €74.3m
Should that happen, the club would be eligible to register for Serie B next season, following their inevitable relegation at the end of this term.
However, that would mean paying all sporting debt and meeting all obligations by June 28, with the season concluding on May 17.
Should the Emilian side be unable to do so, they would be forced to start again from the amateur leagues, probably in Serie D or the Eccellenza division.
