Andrea Belotti explains why Nicolò Barella is Italy’s most impressive player and insists the Azzurri ‘always want to win.’

Italy play their third and last Euro 2020 group stage game against Wales tomorrow and they will finish top of their group if they avoid defeat.

“My teammates and I always want to win, we are focused on the primary target. Everybody wants to play and we must give our best all the times, our target is to go all the way,” Belotti told Sky Sport Italia.

The Azzurri have already booked their place for the Round of 16 with two 3-0 wins in the opening two games of the competition.

“We must keep our feet on the ground, we can go far only with humility,” the striker added.

“There are many strong players here, but to me, the most impressive one is Barella, for the way he plays and for the personality he puts in every game.

“He is a top player and has improved so much lately.”

Belotti was part of the Italy squad that failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and the striker believes that failure has pushed everybody to do more.

“Italy don’t deserve to live those situations. Unfortunately, it happened and we’ve wanted to do well at the Euros since.”
