Ricky Kaka is reportedly having second thoughts about leaving Milan this summer, holding up their plans in the transfer market.
The 32-year-old has been seen in recent days as lining up two moves for the coming year, first to Sao Paulo from this summer and then out to future MLS franchise Orlando City in March 2015.
The deal is believed to have Kaka sign registration with Orlando and then for the US side to officially loan the player out to the Brazilians until next spring.
Whilst Sao Paulo have commented publicly that they are almost certain to pick up the Brazilian, speculation is that they are struggling to agree with Orlando the terms of a proposed loan, unwilling to take on more than a third of his salary during the planned eight-month deal.
Whilst this is the situation according to the Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport add further flavour in reporting that Kaka himself is also having doubts over completing the move and that he has already requested information from Milan on preseason plans.
With Kaka’s clause to release himself from his Rossonero contract free of charge due to expire on June 30, it is seen that the player may indeed end up staying put for the time being, which would block the club’s other plans in the market.
Speculation has been that Milan’s hopes of signing Juan Manuel Iturbe hinge on releasing themselves from paying the wages for both Kaka and compatriot Robinho.
