Francesco Totti is forever a Roma legend and 30 years ago today he made his debut for the Giallorossi, kickstarting an incredible adventure.

On March 28 1993, a 16-year-old Totti was brought onto the pitch by coach Vujadin Boskov in the 87th minute of Roma’s 2-0 win over Brescia at the Stadio Olimpico, replacing Ruggiero Rizzitelli.

It was one of just two cameo appearances in his first season with Roma’s first team and he’d go on to spend another 24 seasons with the Giallorossi, hanging up his boots at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

During his time with Roma, Totti made an incredible 785 appearances across all competitions, scoring 307 goals and providing 206 assists, making the joint third most appearances in Serie A with 618.

The Italian forward won a number of major honours throughout his career, winning less than his quality deserved due to his loyalty. He won the 2006 World Cup, the 2000-01 Scudetto, two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.
