Football Italia’s Season Review is out with analysis, ratings for each club, best and most disappointing players of the 2022-23 Serie A campaign.

It was an epic and truly endless season in Italy’s top flight, starting on August 14, 2022, and ending on June 11, 2023, with a relegation play-off between Hellas Verona and Spezia which eventually sent the Liguria-based club to Serie B.

Napoli won their first Scudetto in 33 years under Luciano Spalletti, dominating the league with new signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and star striker Victor Osimhen who finally lived up to his potential becoming the league’s leading scorer with 26 goals in 32 Serie A matches.

Lazio, Inter and Milan will join the Partenopei in next season’s Champions League, while Atalanta and Roma will play in the Europa League and Juventus in Conference.

The Old Lady’s campaign was a rollercoaster and ended with a 10-point deduction in Serie A which cost them a Champions League placement.

Sampdoria and Cremonese were relegated to Serie B, joined by Spezia who lost the relegation play-off against Hellas Verona in the last game of the season.
