Napoli didn’t show up to the Allianz Stadium on October 4 after two confirmed cases of Covid in their team. The Azzurri played against Genoa in the previous weekend with the Grifone that had registered 22 cases of Coronavirus after the game.

Juventus have been handed the 3-0 victory by defaultand Napoli docked one point, as the Disciplinary Commission ruled the Partenopei didn’t follow the COVID-19 protocol.

Napoli appealed the decision and a trial is going to take place on November 9, Il Corriere dello Sport and Corriere del Mezzogiorno reports.

The verdict is expected on that same day.

If Napoli’s appeal won’t be accepted, the club will do another appeal to the Sports Guarantee Board.
