Milan have officially announced defender Matteo Gabbia has tested positive for coronavirus whilst on international duty with Italy Under-21.
The 20-year-old centre-back was preparing to play his fourth match for the Azzurrini in Iceland this week, but Milan have confirmed he has tested positive during the trip.
“AC Milan have been informed that Matteo Gabbia, currently with the Italy Under-21 national squad in Iceland, has tested positive for COVID-19,” a statement from the Rossoneri read.

Italy U-21's games against Iceland was postponed after five cases of Coronavirus emerged in the Azzurrini's team.
Gabbia has played all three Serie A matches so far this term but now risks missing the Derby della Madonnina.
