“At first we thought about keeping him, but now if we carry on playing like this, there won’t be any scope to continue together,” Mattiolo told Sky Sport Italia.
“We have ambitious objectives for the future: we’re banking on a young team with leaders inside the dressing room.”
The Emilian side host Scudetto challengers Inter in their next game tomorrow evening.
