President Claudio Lotito visited the training ground for talks with the squad, coach, staff and medics to work out what has gone so badly wrong.
“We always exchange ideas with the club, players and staff, regardless of the results,” insisted Inzaghi on Lazio Style Channel.
“Over the last few days, we had some conversations, as we know full well that we’re going through a difficult period. The lads are giving their all, but that’s not enough when we have such limited squad rotation possibilities.
“There’s no time to train, all we can do is try to recover energy as best we can between games. We have to take it one match at a time.”
Udinese are also fresh off a defeat at the weekend, losing 3-1 to Sampdoria after they had taken the lead.
“I am convinced we’ll have an excellent performance in Udine, even if it won’t be easy,” continued Inzaghi.
“Udinese have a fine coach and many strong players, so they would deserve more points than they currently have. Apart from the latest defeat to Sampdoria, they have been in fine form and will be motivated to secure Serie A safety.”
