Bologna director of sport Walter Sabatini confirms they have “closed a deal with Atalanta for Roger Ibanez and Musa Barrow.”

The double swoop for the January transfer window brings much-needed reinforcements to the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“We have closed a deal with Atalanta for Ibanez. Tomorrow we’ll whittle down the personal terms with his agents,” Sabatini told reporters at an event today.

“With Ibanez and Barrow, we followed Sinisa Mihajlovic’s wishes, as they are two young players, both born in 1998, and we’ll finalise the details over the next couple of days.”

Roma had also wanted Ibanez, but Bologna seem to have gained the upper hand for a reported €9m plus another €2m in add-ons.

It’s rumoured the player decided to go for Bologna rather than Roma in order to get regular playing time.

Forward Barrow is believed to have cost Bologna €10m and will have his medical tomorrow.
