Flamengo’s offer of €16m plus 20 per cent of a future sale does not convince Inter, so Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is courted by West Ham and Crystal Palace.
For several months now, Flamengo have claimed there is a deal in place to sign Gabigol on a permanent basis after his hugely successful loan spell.
However, Inter always warned they hadn’t yet reached an agreement for the buy-out clause and are prepared to sell him to the highest bidder.

However, Inter always warned they hadn’t yet reached an agreement for the buy-out clause and are prepared to sell him to the highest bidder.
According to multiple Italian sources, including Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, the favourites are West Ham United, who are ready to offer €20m plus performance-related bonuses and add-ons.
They aren’t the only interested party from the Premier League, as Crystal Palace and to a lesser degree Chelsea are also tracking his situation.
Gabigol cost Inter €29.5m to purchase from Santos in the summer of 2016, but never made an impact with the Nerazzurri jersey.
He had loan spells at Benfica and Santos, but really rediscovered his form when moving to Flamengo in January 2019.
The 23-year-old scored a remarkable 34 goals in 43 games, taking them to the league title and the Copa Libertadores, as well as the Final of the Club World Cup.
